KY is a Founding Member and Chief Operating Officer of Bowrington

KY Brings with him more than 26 years of experience in finance and operations. Most recently KY was an Executive Director at JPMorgan Asset management Real Assets where he was leading operations team through complete fund cycle processes.  Prior to that he was the finance director of QBE Mortgage Insurance (Asia) Ltd. Prior to QBE, KY spend more than 10 year at GE Capital Asia where he held finance positions in Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan and Korea.  His final GE assignment was the finance leader of GE Commercial Finance – Taiwan.  In earlier roles, he was a business analyst with STAR TV and a senior auditor with PriceWaterhouse HK.

He holds a BA degree in Accountancy from Hong Kong Polytechnic and MA degree in Information Systems from City University of Hong Kong.  He is a CPA in Hong Kong and a fellow member of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.

Raj is Founder and Managing Director of Bowrington

Raj founded Bowrington after having worked over 24 years across Asia on private equity - investment / management / and divestment, project development, project finance, M&A transactions and engineering. Most recently, Raj was a Managing Director with JPMorgan Asset Management Real Assets, managing JPM’s Asian Infrastructure Fund that had a cumulative funds of USD 1.5 billion under management. Prior to that, Raj was a Director of Project Development and Investment at ORIX Investment and Management’s Singapore office, where he was involved in private equity investments into infrastructure and related industries in Asia. In 1999, Raj joined Sithe Asia, where he was responsible for financing, investing, and monitoring of Sithe Asia’s (Marubeni Power) equity investments in projects spread across the region.

Raj received his Electrical Engineering degree from National Institute of Technology, Warangal and MBA from Asian Institute of Management, Manila (Philippines).

Shinyi is Client Portfolio Manager and contact point for Bowrington’s major clients, including Investors and Regulators.

Shinyi joined Bowrington with over 18 years of experience in Taiwanese finance industry. Most recently Shinyi was a product manager for Offshore Fund managing the clients and fund managers for offshore funds at First Securities Investment Trust Co. Prior to this, Shinyi was research Analyst at TransGlobe Capital Management Co., Ltd. Shinyi also held a number of roles at Mega International Investment Trust Co., and Mega Securities covering planning and risk management.

She holds an Associate degree in Computer science and a BA in Applied Foreign Languages from MingChuan University and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Taipei. She received her MBA degree from State University of New York, in Binghamton. She is a CFP® holder.

Ivy is responsible for executing and monitoring private credit investments. Ivy also provides oversight on investment projects.

Ivy joined Bowrington with over 15 years of investment / finance experience in real assets, primarily focused on project financing, acquisition, disposition and financial control. Ivy was previously a Portfolio Manager at Corporate Banking Group of Cathay United Bank in Taipei where she was responsible for Project Financing of renewable energy projects. Prior to that Ivy spent more than 10 years with JPMorgan Asset Management’s Global Real Assets in New York where she was Vice President managing 50+ Retail, REIT and Mezzanine investments with a total NAV of USD $10 billion. She also held finance roles at AXA Investment Managers and New Plan Excel Realty Trust, Inc. in the U.S.

Ivy holds a BBA in Accounting from Soochow University (Taipei) and MBA (Financial Management) from Pace University (New York).

Julie focuses on investments in Environmental Services, Social Infrastructure, and Wind Power sectors.

Joined Bowrington with expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and financial advisory services. Julie spent more than 7 years at PwC and was a manager in Deals Services of PwC Taiwan, specializing in providing M&A advisory services, including market entry assessment, corporate finance, and business valuation. During her time with PwC, she worked on various infrastructure projects, including geothermal, wind, & hydro projects, Taipei Twin Tower project, and several BOT projects related to environmental services.

Julie holds a BA in Bio-Industry Communication and Development from National Taiwan University and MSc of Financial Management from Edinburgh University, UK.

Kuma is focuses on investments in Digital Infrastructure, Logistics, and New Agriculture sectors.

Kuma joined Bowrington with extensive real estate investment and management experience, in Taiwan as well as outside Taiwan. Kuma was a senior analyst in the real estate division of Cathay Life Insurance. During his time at Cathay Life, Kuma participated in the development of Cathay Life’s commercial real estate investment and management business. Kuma was involved in the acquisition of the NTD 2.2 billion Industrial land to be developed into logistics hub as well as 80,000m2 of factory renovation project.

Kuma holds a BA in Real Estate & Built Environment from National Taipei University and has received MSc of Real Estate with Distinction from Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. Kuma is also a qualified member of Royal Institutional of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

ST is Bowrington’s Industry Specialist for Environmental Services Sector.

ST a veteran of environmental services sector in Greater China and South East Asian regions with more than 30 years of experience in project developments, engineering and design, EPC projects and plant O&M managements in the environment and power sectors. ST has a strong track record of developing, implementing and operating multiple BOT / BOO based large scale projects in Asia. ST has worked for about 15 years with some of the leading international environmental service providers in Taiwan and PRC, including Swire SITA (Suez Group, France) and Covanta (USA).

ST has received his associate degree in mechanical engineering from National Taipei University of Technology and his master’s degrees in Thermal System and Heat Transfer from Illinois Institute of Technology.

After interning with the team for more than one year and James formally joined Bowrington in August 2020 after completing his undergraduate program.

James has gone through rigorous on-the-job training in financial modeling, valuation, and research. During his time with the Bowrington team, James has carried out in-depth industry research on several infrastructure sectors in Taiwan, including renewable energy, environmental services, logistics, communications, and healthcare. James  completed his CFA Level 1 in August 2020 and holds a double degree in Economics and Sociology from National Cheng-Chi University.

Raymond joined Bowrington in November 2021 after completing his master’s degree and mandatory military service. Raymond has previously worked in the corporate finance team at Huawei France as a financial analyst and has gained exposure to internal control process and corporate finance functions. Raymond passed CFA level 2 exam in August 2021 with in-depth knowledge to financial modelling and equity valuation and is currently a CFA level 3 candidate.

Raymond holds a bachelor’s degree in international business at National Dong-Hwa University in Taiwan and MSc degree in Finance at IESEG school of Management in Paris.
